Sharply raising enrollment and changing curricular needs challenged Oregon State University (OSU) to seek new learning space solutions. Planning for pedagogical diversity and a significant increase in informal learning space resulted in the Learning Innovation Center (LINC); seating 2200 learners in 17 widely varied classrooms including a 600 seat 360 degree teaching-in-the-round lecture Arena. This workshop explores how these challenges were addressed and assessed now that LINC has completed the first year in operation. Participants will work hands-on with the concepts and options for meeting contemporary teaching and learning needs through creative design.
