Scaling Active Learning Affordances Campus-Wide
2017 Past Presentation
Faculty need the freedom to incorporate active learning teaching methods into classes across the curriculum, but sometimes only a lesson or an hour at a time. Rating classrooms on their ability to support different teaching methods, along with their convertibility between configurations, can help faculty choose and be assigned to rooms that best fit their needs. Enabling classrooms for active learning and convertibility is as much about the room’s shell, infrastructure, and approach to furnishings as much as it is about technology.
