Director of eCampus & Assistant Vice-Provost, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) University of Connecticut
Peter Diplock is the Director of eCampus and Assistant Vice-Provost for the University of Connecticut’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), a role he has occupied since 2012. Peter provides thought leadership for teaching initiatives at the University and with a talented staff of 50 has responsibility for elevating teaching and learning outcomes across all teaching modalities including flipped, blended, and online environments. CETL’s Faculty Development and Teaching Enhancement initiatives include support for teaching excellence and innovation through workshops, course-design and teaching consultations, annual grant programs, dissemination of research-informed best practices, programs that work to align pedagogy with technology, and support for various faculty communities of practice. Last year, more than 1,100 UConn faculty and TA’s took advantage of CETL programming. Peter joined UConn in 2005 as a faculty member in Management and has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards over his twenty year teaching career including the Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Massachusetts.
