Manager of Learning Space Support Princeton University
Susan Collins recently joined Princeton University’s Instructional Support Services as the Manager of Learning Space Support where she is overseeing the operations of the Office of Information Technology classroom and event support teams. Susan joined Princeton with nearly 14 years of experience in providing information technology services in both higher education and K-12. Prior to her current position with Princeton, Susan was the Director of Learning Space Services for California State University, Sacramento, where her work focus was in design and support of learning spaces, including classrooms, computer labs, conference and training rooms, and informal learning spaces. Susan helped create and enhance teaching and learning experiences through the symbiosis of technology, staffing, furniture, and physical space. While at Sacramento State, Susan was at the helm for the renovation of over 100 learning spaces, collaborating with campus partners to develop innovative and flexible designs supporting emerging pedagogical technologies. Since 2011, Susan has also lent her expertise to the Board of the Hearts & Minds Educational Technology Foundation, a non-profit focused on providing technology for youth on the Western Slope of El Dorado County, California. Susan holds an MA in Education (Educational Technology), a BA in Communications Studies (Organizational Communications), and an AA in Computer Information Systems. Outside of work, Susan enjoys myriad outdoor activities and is an enthusiastic runner, having completed a dozen half marathons. She also loves to travel and spend time with her family.
