Dr. Teggin Summers has spent almost two decades working in educational technologies. From teaching in an online MOO to leading exploration of emerging technologies for teaching and learning, Teggin has broad experience with tools and techniques for engaging faculty around technology-enhanced, student-centered learning. Teggin is the Manager of Teaching and Learning at San Francisco State University where she provides oversight and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive range of grants and campus-borne initiatives that support and advance all modes of effective teaching and learning with technology. Current faculty development and project management activities support hybrid and online curriculum development, active learning space design and experimentation, affordable and open educational resources, academic integrity, ePortfolio assessment, and Quality Online Learning & Teaching (QOLT) peer review and certification, among others. In her spare time, Teggin enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her two rambunctious boys and black lab.
